Description

Every professional working on a golf course knows that scarifying and sand-filling together are what maintains and improves a drainage system. The GKB SandFiller combines scarifying, removal and sand-filling in one operation — and one person can run it, where other methods take around six.

The slitting rotor carries carbide scarifying blades with an attachment that creates wind to lift the removed material, which goes straight into a sideways-tipping container. No brushing and disposal afterwards. Empty the container and refill it with drainage sand.

Dried sand from the hopper is applied to the trench immediately after scarifying, via a broad hydraulically powered conveyor belt and a stainless-steel fill unit. Because the trenches are filled straight away the upper layer stays stable, and the fairway is available for use again instantly.

Key features

One operation, one person

Scarifying, removal and sand-filling combined — a job that otherwise takes around six people.

Wind-assisted material lift

An attachment on the blades creates wind to lift removed material straight into the container.

Sideways-tipping container

Removed material goes directly into the container, so there is no brushing and disposal afterwards.

Immediate sand fill

A broad hydraulically powered conveyor and stainless-steel fill unit place dried sand into the trench as it is cut.

Blade choice and spacing

Blades in 2, 3 and 4mm, positioned at centre-to-centre distances of 2, 4, 6 or 8cm.

Thatch removal to 4cm

The scarifying blades take thatch out to a depth of 4cm.

Play resumes immediately

Filling the trenches straight away keeps the upper layer stable, so the fairway is usable again at once.
